Who we are

TaxEasy LLC provides the tax and related services. TaxEasy is the secure website and portal used to explain the service, take inquiries, and run client engagements. Exact legal entity wording for production will be confirmed with counsel.

What we collect

  • Ask a question: name, email, topic, short message, and optional marketing contact preference
  • Account: name, email, and optional phone used for sign-in and portal messages
  • Engagement: checklist answers, messages, appointments, and documents you or EasyTax exchange inside a linked engagement
  • Payment: confirmation that an approved catalog order was paid (card details stay with the payment processor)

The public Ask a question form is not for tax returns or tax identifiers. Do not include a Social Security number, EIN, bank account, or tax document there.

Why we collect it

  • Respond to service questions and route leads
  • Authenticate your account and keep the portal secure
  • Deliver the tax or bookkeeping engagement you purchased
  • Meet record-keeping and professional obligations the firm defines with counsel

Who can see it

Assigned EasyTax staff see engagement data they are authorized for. Public visitors cannot read inquiries or other clients’ files. Hosting, authentication, storage, email, and payment processors process data under their agreements once production vendors and notices are approved.

Cookies and similar storage

  • Required: an HttpOnly session cookie (__session) keeps you signed in after login
  • Performance: optional Analytics choice (Cookie preferences on public pages; default on until you change it) is stored in the browser (localStorage); a refuse path leaves the site usable. Blog page views store the post slug only. Production wording and property owners remain under D-012
  • Marketing: optional Cookie preferences toggle (default on until you change it) stores a browser preference for future advertising, retargeting, or session-replay tools; those vendors are not loaded in Phase 1. Production wording remains under D-012

Access, correction, and deletion

Use Ask a question to request access, correction, or deletion. Retention periods, legal holds, and export procedures will be published after counsel review (D-006).

Changes

When a final notice is approved, the firm will publish the effective date here. Until then, treat this page as an unpublished draft.
